Hot VW´s drag day in Irwindale or I'm on vacation mode

So guys, I will be in Irwindale, California next week. :-) There is a VW drag race on the Toyota speedway strip and it will be my first drag race event. It´s realy a dream of me to have a vacation trip to "California dreamin"...

open saison or the countdown begins

But today, we started to prepare our vdubs (still two oval bugs, 1 kübel) for the saison 2010...

Guni´s oval still in hibernation...looks like a mass of work...hey buddy, I guess I should help you...;-)

Agenda for today:
- sight check
- new oel
- NGK ignition plugs...

Bogart racing wheels - a set of just 3 ever made

I got these fantastic wheels from a good friend. This is a set of Bogart racing wheels in 4,5 and 7 inch. Mr. Bogart himself wrote me just 3 sets of these wheels are ever made and were originally made for the History Channel. ????
They are known as VW "Tab" Wheels ( 3 piece, Spun OUTER and INNER with a BILLET CENTER.

2010...das Jahr der Veränderungen

Servus zusammen,
das neue Jahr 2010 hat kaum begonnen und es juckt kräftig in den Fingern, die ersten Veränderungen am Ovali vorzunehmen. (Naja, Andi und Guni treten mir kräftig in den Arsch)

Viele Ideen schwirren in meinem Kopf herum, die ich gerne umsetzten möchte. Auf der Schrauber-Agenda für die nächsten bitterkalten Wochen steht vorerst:
- Seitenscheibe wieder einhängen, da diese beim letzten bella italia-Trip rausgerutscht ist
- Motorwartung (Ölwechsel, Vergaserprüfung usw.) incl. clean up
- Verbauung neues Zubehör :-) lasst euch überraschen
